Epsilon Gears for April 2003 Grand Night

THE EPSILON Sigma Lambda Phi Fraternity/Sorority, Inc., the most prestigious law school fraternity/sorority organization in the College of Law of the University of the East, Manila, will hold its grand reunion dubbed as "Epsilon Grand Night" at 7 p.m. on April 11, 2003 in Rembrant Hotel, Quezon City.
With the theme, "UE Epsilonians: Responding to the Call of Leadership and Excellence," the event will be highlighted by the awarding of Plaques of Recognition to outstanding alumni members who continuously epitomize the Epsilonian ideals of leadership and excellence in various fields like politics, government service, military, law practice, etc.
To ensure the success of the occasion, the officers in coordination with the alumni are busy preparing for the much-awaited event. The choice for the Guest Speaker of the event is tossed between Senators Panfilo Lacson and Senator Ralph Recto. Another possible personality to attend the affair is Executive Secretary Alberto Romulo.
Espsilon Sigma Lambda Phi was established in 1980. Now on its 23rd year, it has already produced countless alumni who are already prominent in their chosen field. (2/18/2003)

PAO Chief is Epsilonian

Atty. PERSIDA V. RUEDA-ACOSTA, an Epsilonian, reaped honors anew for UE and the Epsilon community for occupying the top post of the Public Attorneys' Office under the current administration of Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Chief Acosta placed fourth in the 1989 Bar Exams and she is concurrently teaching in the College of Law of UE. Among the celebrated cases she handled was the famous Vizconde case. Teaching civil law subjects, she always inspires her students to dream and excel in their lofty quest for membership in the legal profession. #

Epsilonians gather at the fort

The Epsilonian family taking respite from the rigors and pressures of the just concluded September 2002 Bar Exam Operations together with the barristers, guests and alumni sneaked out of the bar site at De La Salle University-Taft and trooped to the house of 2002 Grand Lord Epsilonian Rommel Tumbali in Fort Bonifacio, Makati for a much-deserved get-together party, September 22, 2002.
A motley of sumptous dishes, multi-colored balloons and bottles of wines awaited the Epsilonians amidst a drizzling night. To tame the weather that attempted to break the partying spirit of the members, many serenaded the night with their rendition of immortal songs while some stole scenes with their delightful dancing steps.
Following the success of the party, the alumni begged the incumbent officers to repeat the party sometime in December of this year.
Meanwhile, the Epsilonian tradition of excellence lives on.
Janeth Baclao, now in her senior year, scored 100% during her midterm examination in Legal Medicine under Dr. Olarte this first semester. A Iskolar ng Bayan during her pre-law years in the University of the Philippines-Baguio, Baclao proved once more that the Epsilonians composed of members who excel academically in law school.
As of this writing, the final exminations are ongoing. Good luck to all Epsilonians!
